Maintenance

At least they're real.
No, things aren't perfect,
and they know I don't agree
or "approve" or encourage it,
but they're real. They
can't lie. They
can't hide. Somehow
it finds them out.
So when they call,
you know it's because
they want to, not because they should.
That's real.
So trust can slowly grow,
they let me see them,
for better or for worse.
No hiding.
No lying.
At least it's real.
